About Core Facilities
Core facilities are specialized centralized units within an institution that provide researchers with access to instruments, technologies, expert consultation, and other essential services. They operate as self-contained units with dedicated personnel, equipment, and space, and typically recoup their operational costs through user fees. At the University of Arkansas, these facilities are authorized by the Division of Research and Innovation to offer fee-based services not only to the internal research community and ARTP but also to external customers.
